Geraldton Breastfeeding Support Group
Would you like to learn more about breastfeeding or feel supported through your way of parenting. Cath Dalle is a LLL (La LecheLeague) Breastfeeding Leader. She is passionate about breastfeeding and supporting mothers through the challenges and joys of parenting. She is trained in breastfeeding counselling and has experience in support group facilitation. The group meets 1st & 3rd Friday every month at 10.30am at the Women's ealth Resource Centre, 28 Sandford St, Geraldton.

Support Group: Loss of a Child - Conception to 12 years of age
This support groups is open to people who have lost a child from conception through to 12 years of age.
Meetings are held at 7pm every third Monday of the month at the St John of God Specialist Centre Training Room.
People are welcome to bring family or friends along. The group aims to help parents support surviving siblings with books available on supporting children who have lost a sibling through miscarriage, stillborth and SIDS.

The Womens Health Resource Centre is a multi-purpose health service aimed specifically at women in the Midwest Region.
Services provided include information on:

They have confidential one on one counselling for issues including self esteem, stress, assertiveness, relationships and family issues.

Free access to Papsmears through clinics run regularly at the centre. By appointment only.
Wide range of books and DVDs on womens health topics available for loan. Internet is also available.
Geraldton and District Multiple Birth Association (GDMBA)
A self-help, support and social group for families with twins and more who live in Geraldton and the surrounding Midwest area. The GDMBA is made up of volunteer parents and expectant parents of multiples who have joined together to help, support and learn from other in a fun, social and supportive environment.
GDMBA offers the following services to members:

Geraldton Resource Centre
The Geraldton Resource Centre (GRC) is a non profit community based human services organisation located in Geraldton in the Midwest region of Western Australia. They provide a range of free services to people experiencing disadvantage within the region. The disadvantage experienced may include;

financial hardship or crisis,

having a low income,

a disability,
-
being geographically isolated or
-
experiencing cultural or language barriers.
They provide a combination of direct client service including information, referral and advice and advocacy. In addition to this, they also work in the areas of community education, law and policy reform and community development.

Geraldton Women’s Health Resource Centre (WHRC)
The Geraldton Women’s Health Resource Centre is a client focused, confidential, multipurpose health service aimed at meeting the needs of women in the Geraldton and Midwest region.
Counselling is provided for anxiety, unplanned pregnancy and post natal depression. A referral service to other counselling services and psychology is also provided.
Other services include pregnancy testing, STI checks, Pap smears, blood pressure and blood glucose level checks. A free legal service is offered as well as other women’s workshops, programs and seminars.

The Geraldton Family Relationship Centre provides a range of services to the community including Family Dispute Resolution (FDR) following separation & divorce, resources to support families, as well as being able to refer to other support services.
