The Aquarena is a fantastic state of the art facility located in Pass Street, Wonthella. 

Indoor Facilities include a Spa Room, Hydrotherapy Pool with ramp entry, Multipurpose Pool, Leisure Pool including beach entry and a 47 metre slide, Change Rooms and Cafe.

Outdoor Facilities include a 50 metre Olympic Pool, Water Polo Pool, Two Beach Volley Ball Courts, Shade, BBQs and change rooms.

There are Learn To Swim Classes for parent & baby, toddlers, preschool, school aged, and physically and intellectually challenged children.

The new Regional Library has relocated to 37 Marine Terrace.  The Library has an extensive Junior Collection and an area for children with books and toys.

There are activities for babies & children and school holiday programs.  

Rhyme Time: A session for babies 0-2 years old each Thursdays at 10.30am

Story Time: One session every Tuesday and a repeat session on Friday for 2 - 4 year olds 9.30pm.  Sing songs, rhymes and a simple craft activity.

  FORESHORE WATER PARK

A great new attraction for Geraldton's foreshore at the end of Cathedral Avenue, opposite Ocean Centre Hotel.  The Water Park is near a grassed picnic area and a shaded playground.  Toilets are not too far away at the Rest Centre.  Coffee, icecream, drinks and food available across the road.

Overlooking the Indian Ocean, the Western Australian Museum — Geraldton celebrates the rich heritage of the land, sea and people of the Mid West region.

Enjoy a guided tour through the stories from four major early shipwrecks located in the region, the Batavia, Gilt Dragon, Zuytdorp, and Zeewijk or learn more about the discovery of HMAS Sydney (II), the pride of the fleet.


MINIATURE RAILWAY

Held the first Sunday of each month at Spalding Park from 10am - 3pm.  Kids $1, Adults $2.  Enclosed footwear must be worn.

GREENOUGH HAMLET

An historic village with a great cafe and shaded picnic areas.
 


ELLENDALE POOL
A natural freshwater pool formed by the Greenough River fed by underground springs.  It is surrounded by trees and a rocky gorge and plenty of shady picnic areas.

 


GREENOUGH WILDLIFE AND BIRD PARK

Greenough Wildlife & Bird Park is situated 20km south of Geraldton, Western Australia.  It is a privately owned park which rescues & rehabilitates Australian Wildlife and has been for 30 yrs. We have some animals which have been here a long time and always have some which have just moved in.  Come visit our beautiful surroundings where you can dance with a dingo, cuddle a kangaroo or sing with a snake, all in the parks beautiful surroundings.


We have BBQ facilities & host many children's and social functions; we even have hosted a wedding. Discounts for Group Bookings and callouts with the animals for Special Events can be arranged.
