Geraldton Play & Learn is a locally owned Child Care Centre providing care for children ages from 3 months to 12 years. The centre provides age appropriate environments to ensure each developmental stage of the child is catered for during the day, this includes:

A Nursery with 8 babies,

A Toddlers room with 10 children and,

2 Kindy Rooms catering for 20 children each.
These small groups allow for close child:caregiver interactions and relationships.
The centre caters specifically for school age children in their 'stand alone' environment (OSHC), this space fondly referred to by the children as "the shed" provides the following micro play spaces; art studio, library/quiet space, construction, cooking in a child friendly kitchen, pool table, outdoor space that includes large climbing equipment, sand pit and wood work.
The OSHC play leaders also run the government funded active after schools program that incorporates sport activities twice a week for the children.
Geraldton Play & Learn recognise the importance of play in your child's development. In a supportive and encouraging way, we let your child take the lead in initiating play.
We focus on the process of children's work, rather than the finished product.
In group care situations, we believe that siblings benefit from having time together throughout the day.
We also value the cultural, family and individual diversity within our community.
We have an open door policy at the centre - drop in at any time through the day, or call for an appointment.
Fee Structure
Annual Amenity Fee: $45.00
This is paid on acceptance of a position being offered to you for your child to be enrolled at the centre. It is an annual fee and is non-refundable. The fee covers the costs of sunscreen, medical supplies etc that are provided by the centre for your child. It also includes a sun smart hat.
Full Time Care: $395.00
Daily Care: $87.00
AM or PM Sessions: $62.00
After School Care Daily: $36.00
Before School Care:$22.00
Kindy Program: $54.00
Note:
The centre does offer Child Care Benefit (CCB) to reduce your weekly fee.
Childcare Tax Rebate
The CCR is a payment from the Australian Government that helps working families with the cost of childcare. If you are using approved child care for work, training or study-related reasons the Government will provide you with 50 per cent of your out-of-pocket child care costs, up to the annual cap. From 1 July 2010 the Child Care Rebate annual cap will be $7,500 per child per year, subject to the passage of legislation. From July 2011 you have the option to receive your CCR paid weekly/ fortnightly, either directly to your bank. Your Child Care Rebate paid quarterly or annually as a lump sum directly to your bank account.
